I need opinions and testimonials about different GPS systems?

I'm looking into getting a GPS but I've never used one before. Do you use one? What kind is it? Do you like it? What are you favorite features of it? Anything you wish that it did? any info would be great, thanks!

1. Buy a Garmin, they make navigational tools as a business rather than just being someone who has decided to make them to jump on the band wagon such as say Sony....they might make good TVs but sat navs are a different kettle of fish entirely. Garmin use their own map base rather than relying on someone Else's. I've used their mountaineering GPS for years without a problem before the car mounted version became popular. Whilst no GPS system is foolproof Garmin are about as good as they get.
