Techniques to improve the accuracy of GPS Systems?

Please provide me with techniques to improve the accuracy of GPS Systems. Pretty please :D

1. Consider : Which area or zone are you in ? What terrain ? Available Satellites at the time of measurements . Number of setup points and duration . Weather conditions .
2. If you are taking way-points I suggest holding the GPS still for about 1 minute before adding the way-point so that the GPS is able to calculate better where it is at in still situation. You can also usually tell your GPS to only accept readings at certain VDOP and HDOP levels - the lower the level the better the reading. Those stand for Vertical and Horizontal Dilution of Precision.
