GPS software for smartphones that works OUTSIDE the US?

Do you know of any GPS software for smartphones (mine is an HP iPAQ hw6995 with GPS receiver) that works outside the US? I'm in the Philippines. Are there downloadable maps for it? Thanks.

1. unfortunately it is very difficult to find gps maps for third world countries. the governments there think that the maps will be used to conspire against them thus there are no proper maps to be helpful in navigations systems...
2. you have maps for malaysia and singapore on malsing.com but unfortunately philippines is not there. Just check out with wayfinder navigator at wayfinder.com. They have recently started their service for India alongwith the present services in Europe and North America.
