Can i Turn in my psp into a gps using by installing software and not buying anything?

Ok... I have a gps but it loose satalite signals... i dont want to buy one... can i turn in mp psp into a gps with installing software......... and when i want to use the gps i would not require any type of internet connection... u now what i mean

3. No! You certainly can not just "turn" your PSP into a GPS system. You'll need the GPS attachment, which are not sold in the USA or Europe. Only in Japan or online, can you get it. It work so do not listen to Andrew. He's obviously a newbie and there's no such thing as a PSP GPS chip. Also, the GPS does not connect to the internet to receive signals. Otherwise, you'll lose signal right away when you drive away from the wifi area. That's just not how a GPS work. First you'll need to have a modded PSP (custom firmware) in order for the GPS to even work. Second, we're in the USA, and the Japanese software and maps would be of no use to us, so we have to make our own. You can search youtube on how to make maps for the PSP. I've posted a tutorial on how to do so. Seach for my screen name "MaPee1982" and you should see my videos. REMEMBER, you need a custom firmware for the GPS and map software to work. There are 2 different types of GPS attachment for the PSP. One is a hulox and the other is a PSP-290. The PSP-290 is more compatible and easier to work with. You should look into the PSP camera too. It's something worth having. I've had both (Camera & GPS) since 2005 and it's very useful.
4. Yes, Sony sells this product that is called PSP GPS, BUT unfortunately it is only being sold in japan at the moment, but hopefully it will come to North America soon...
